ENGINEERING EXPERTISE

Our work spans the full lifecycle of simulator systems — from concept and design through to manufacturing, integration, and ongoing technical support.

SIMULATOR DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE

Aviamech designs and manufactures fixed-base flight simulators for a wide range of aircraft types, including:single-engine , aircraftmulti-engine turboprops, jets and helicopters. Each simulator is developed to replicate aircraft systems, handling characteristics, and cockpit environments with high fidelity. Capabilities include: type-representative simulators, type-specific simulators, cockpit replication and integration, flight dynamics modelling and visual system integration.

TRAINING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Beyond simulator platforms, Aviamech develops integrated training systems tailored to operational requirements.

This includes:

System architecture design

Avionics and control integration

Scenario-based training environments

Environmental and visual simulation systems

The objective is to create cohesive training platforms that align with real operational demands.

OUR SOLUTIONS

DEVELOPMENT

The development and manufacture of a type-representative or type-specific flight simulator is a specialised engineering process that integrates multiple technical disciplines, precise system replication, and structured validation.

Each simulator is designed to reflect the behaviour, performance, and operational characteristics of the aircraft it represents, enabling meaningful training within a controlled environment.

Achieving this level of fidelity requires careful modelling of flight dynamics, systems logic, and cockpit functionality, supported by accurate visual and control feedback. The outcome is a training platform that allows pilots to develop and maintain proficiency under conditions that closely align with
real-world operations, while meeting defined technical and regulatory expectations.

MANUFACTURING

Aviamech delivers simulator manufacturing solutions developed to meet the operational and regulatory requirements of modern aviation training. Each simulator is designed and built to accurately replicate aircraft behaviour, systems, and cockpit environments, spanning platforms from single-engine piston aircraft to advanced turbine, fixed-wing, and rotary configurations. The focus is on creating training systems that support both initial and advanced pilot development within realistic and controlled environments.

The manufacturing approach combines engineering precision with practical training insight, with an emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and fidelity.

Systems integrate realistic flight controls, high-quality visual environments, and ergonomically designed cockpits, ensuring effective and usable training platforms. Aviamech works closely with clients to define configurations aligned to specific aircraft, mission profiles, and operational needs, and provides ongoing support through maintenance, upgrades, and software updates—ensuring long-term performance and sustained training relevance.

MANUFACTURING AND ASSEMBLY

The manufacturing of a flight simulator involves close collaboration between engineers, software developers, and manufacturing experts. Each component, from the cockpit structure to the visual system and motion platform, if applicable, is precision-engineered and assembled. Final assembly of the simulator includes accurate calibration processes before delivery to the training facility.

Once complete, a type-representative or type specific flight simulator serves as a critical tool for pilot training, reducing the need for in-flight training hours, enhancing safety, and providing a platform for training on emergency procedures and new scenarios. The level of realism provided by these simulators is essential for preparing pilots, making them an invaluable asset in modern aviation training programs:

  • Type representative simulator: This type of simulator is designed to replicate the flight experience of an aircraft model or type with sufficient fidelity to allow pilots to receive training towards certification in that class of aircraft in an environment that mirrors real flight conditions with the fidelity required to minimize simulator to aircraft transition training.
  • Type specific simulator: This type of simulator is designed to replicate the flight experience of a specific aircraft type with the required fidelity to allow pilots to receive training towards type ratings as well as proficiency training and checking in that type of aircraft in an environment that mirrors real flight conditions to minimize training and testing in the actual aircraft.

IMMERSIVE VISUAL PROJECTION SYSTEMS FOR REALISTIC TRAINING

Our Direct Projection Cylindrical Visual System delivers an exceptionally immersive experience, offering a sweeping 250° horizontal field of view designed to match the natural perspective from the pilot’s viewpoint. This advanced setup integrates a continuous cylindrical projection screen with cutting-edge laser projectors and specialised software, seamlessly blending individual projections into a single, unified image.

The results are clearer visuals, continuous field of view, and unmatched realism that draws the crew fully into each training scenario. This enhanced visual fidelity supports everything from VFR circuit training to complex scenario-based sessions, providing a true-to-life environment that elevates training outcomes.

Experience training that feels real, so your crew is fully prepared when it matters.

PRECISION FLIGHT DATA GATHERING FOR ENHANCED SIMULATOR ACCURACY

At Aviamech, our commitment to realistic and high-fidelity simulation is complemented with rigorous, hands-on flight data gathering when required. Our flight data campaigns are meticulously designed and conducted on aircraft instrumented to capture data that is not available in the Pilot’s Operating Handbook or Aircraft Flight Manual. This includes unique data that characterises an aircraft’s handling and flight dynamics.

Each data-gathering campaign is tailored to deliver insights that drive realism. Once collected, the data undergoes thorough processing, analysis, and reformatting to ensure it meets the standards required for simulator fidelity validation. This approach helps us create training environments that truly reflect the unique behaviour of each aircraft.

Our experience spans diverse aircraft, including the Beechcraft 1900D, BAE Jetstream JS41, Cessna C208 Grand Caravan, Piper Seneca III, and Bell 222UT.
